Andrew Lyons is a Senior Consultant and a leading Risk Advisory, Financial Crime and Insurance Sector Specialist.  

 

Mr Lyons has 30 years experience of risk management, loss adjusting and financial crime investigations within the UK insurance sector. A proportion of his career has also been spent in Asia working for a US global risk management and investigation firm. Mr Lyons has been based full time in a variety of Asian countries including Indonesia, India, China and Taiwan.

 

During his UK career Mr Lyons has worked primarily as a Loss Adjuster handling a wide variety of insurance claims and investigations. Most recently he worked for a large UK banking group managing a multimillion pound portfolio of complex claims. Mr Lyons also had a variety of key training roles mentoring colleagues and providing technical training to external associates.  

 

During his Asian tenure Mr Lyons worked as an Operations Manager for a global US risk management and investigations firm. He managed a team of around 20 staff, providing direction at all levels, reporting directly to a Managing Director. He was responsible for all general operational matters including production of reports, client liaison, marketing, supervising enquiries and maintaining a market leading quality of product.

 

Mr Lyons has successfully completed commercial and financial fraud enquiries; business intelligence operations; litigation support; due diligence; asset tracing; Intellectual Property protection; pre-employment background checks; executive protection and general security consulting. 

 

Many of the above matters were complex cross border enquiries which involved travel to Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Singapore where Mr Lyons acted as a case manager and provided litigation support for clients.

 

Mr Lyons has received a number of industry awards for his work in loss adjusting and insurance risk advisory. He was elected as a Magistrate for the Buckinghamshire Bench of the UK Ministry of Justice in 2007 and remains a Justice of the Peace, being accepted onto the Magistracy Supplemental List.
